Details:

  • Salary Range: $50,000 to $70,000, depending on experience

  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Location: Kitchener, Ontario and/or Remote

Experience and Skills:

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
  • Basic understanding of data analytics and how to use it to drive business decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying complex ideas.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • High level of integrity and honesty in dealing with clients and internal teams.

Industry Knowledge and Mindset:

  • Willingness to dive deep into understanding the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, including competitive landscape, key players and personas, trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Specific knowledge of the civil engineering industry and/or GIS and LiDAR mapping is a plus.
  • Grit and resilience, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Comfort with failure and a commitment to finding innovative solutions.
  • A collaborative spirit, able to work effectively within a team and with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Business Development Functions:

  • Own and manage the sales pipeline, bringing innovative ideas to improve the process.
  • Conduct prospecting and lead generation through various channels (conferences, lead sourcing platforms, events).
  • Perform cold outreach and relationship-building activities.
  • Manage leads and follow-ups, ensuring effective communication.

Contract Management and Invoicing:

  • Liaise with the CEO during contract negotiations.
  • Prepare and finalize proposals.
  • Close deals and onboard new clients to the LDI platform.
  • Maintain customer accounts and monitor customer health through analytics.
  • Conduct quarterly customer check-ins and provide support for LDI-related queries.
  • Capture testimonials and case studies to enhance the sales process.

Customer Support Functions (0-10% of the workload):

  • Provide reactive support for the Equator mapping platform via a unified support inbox.
  • Proactively source solutions and update the team with user data and insights.
  • Maintain and update the knowledge base with relevant information.
  • Report any incoming user friction points or bugs to the technical team.
